After interrogation they find out that Hassan is crossing the US/Mexican Border. Alejandro and Rodolfo chase after Hassan in Mexico but lose him in the process. Ghost and Soap then link up with Los Vaqueros to find Hassan and actually capture him this time. Graves and Shadow Company provide close air support while escorting Hassan back to base. It turns that it is illegal to detain Hassan and is an act of war so they have to let him go. Captain Price and Gaz look for the missiles in Spain but Laswell gets captured by Al-Qatala. Price and Gaz go to Urzikstan to rescue Laswell and is assisted by Farah and her forces. They successfully rescue Laswell and it is back to work for them. They successfully break out Alejandro and Los Vaqueros with the help of Captain Price and Gaz. Laswell did a bit of digging and found out intel about why General Shepherd and Graves betrayed them. It turns out that Shepherd had Shadow Company transport the American ballistic missiles to their allies fighting Russian in the Middle East, but the transport was intercepted by Russian PMCs. The Russians executed the whole squad and took the missiles and gave them to Iran. Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros form Ghost team to take back Los Vaqueros' base and kill Graves. Ghost team eliminates the Shadows and Soap blows up Graves' tank with C4 killing him. Task Force 141 gets intel from Valeria that Hassan and the other missile is in Chicago. Task Force 141 works with Marines to find the last missile and kill Hassan. Soap successfully disarms the missile and Ghost kills Hassan with a sniper shot to the head. Task Force 141 finds out that there is a Russian Ultranationalist named Makarov and he is up to no good. Unfortunately, the campaign ends there and will be continued in the next Modern Warfare game. The post credits cutscene shows guys on a plane assembling a pistol made of 3D printed parts and Makarov telling his men "No Russian."
